Nebraska Scholarship

Scholarship Policy and Award Procedure

The NLICA Memorial Scholarship is a $1,000.00 scholarship to be awarded one time to: An active NLICA contractor member, who has been in the association for two years or more; their spouse – their children or step-children – their grandchildren or step-grandchildren.

Procedure:

  • Student must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Student obtains a scholarship application from the NLICA website.
  • Student completes the application as per instructions.
  • Student sends the application into the Executive Director postmarked no later than March 15. Applications postmarked after March 15 will not be considered.
Scholarship will be given only to students who have been accepted by an accredited college or university for admission in the fall of the same year the award is granted.
The scholarship payment will be made out jointly to the student and the school. Applicants who are in their senior year of high school will be awarded the scholarship the second semester of enrollment. Those who are attending a college and apply for this scholarship will receive it in the fall.

 National LICA Scholarship

Each year the National LICA Education Committee awards several scholarships to students pursuing any field of higher education. To be eligible, applicant must be related to an active LICA Contractor member. This includes members, spouse, child or grandchild. LICA is happy to assist in the pursuit of higher education.
